Greetings and good news everyone!
After 9 months and around 1100 hours of work this huge Faircamp release is now finally complete! The most important thing to take away: Faircamp is now (also) a graphical desktop application! I've put lots of work into the release notes (which also include dozens of screenshots) and produced new video guides for 2.0 as well, so I'll just share all the links here instead of writing too much about it. Enjoy!
On this occasion I'd also like to thank everyone who supported me in this with feedback, bug reports, donations, and so on – especially also to the https://netidee.at grant programme, whose funding made the entire endeavour possible to begin with!
The last months of 2026 will bring big updates for Hyper 8 – these however will be split across smaller releases. 1.1 is the first one and brings lots and lots of additions to the built-in deployment functionality: It now supports SSH, keyfile auth, ssh-agent auth, on-demand password entry, simulated deployments, automated deployment configuration checks, and much more!
