Hyper 8 Survey

To shape Hyper 8's future design and development I would like to better understand who uses - or would like to use - Hyper 8, and for which usecases. With 1.0 recently having been released, I also want to find out if and how the new graphical desktop integration works for you, and what parts I am still missing.

I have 8 questions for you (4 multiple choice and 4 free text) and answering everything should take about 5-15 minutes - thank you so much for your time!

Your feedback will be handled confidentially and not shared with others. The only thing I intend to publish in the wake of this survey are highly generalized, anonymous conclusions such as (for example) "Many people let me know they use Hyper 8 for publishing conference videos".

However, if you like, you can also expressly allow me to anonymously quote your feedback, which I would then potentially do in the context of future funding applications and reports in order to make a stronger point on why Hyper 8's development deserves public funding.

Desktop integration and graphical user interface

Version 1.0 introduced desktop integration, allowing people to use the application without having to interact with the terminal/command line.

Did or does this make any difference for you? Does it enable you to use Hyper 8 when you couldn't before? Did it make things easier? Are there problems you face with the desktop integration?

What am I missing?

Lastly a broad, general question: Are there, or where there, any substantial hurdles you face(d) when trying to use Hyper 8, and if so, which are they?
