Now i want to show you how 00:00
theming works in Faircamp. 00:01
In Faircamp 2 you have a choice not 00:03
only between the dark and the light color scheme, 00:05
but you can also use the 00:09
new default adaptive mode. 00:10
Adaptive mode means 00:12
that visitors come to your site and 00:13
then they see either the dark color scheme, 00:15
or the light color scheme, 00:18
depending on their system configuration. 00:20
They can however also go to the footer on 00:23
your site and use the "Lighten" or 00:25
"Darken" button to switch between these two 00:28
color schemes. 00:31
As a site operator you have a 00:33
choice to make that dark color scheme 00:35
and light color scheme either very similar 00:37
or completely different. So for instance you 00:40
can override the dark color scheme and 00:42
turn up the color make it really 00:45
red or make it really green and 00:47
at the same time the light color 00:50
scheme can stay completely 00:51
monochrome. That's your choice. 00:53
The next thing that is super important to know is 00:55
where to set the theme for the 00:58
whole site, for all pages on your site. 01:00
And that is found under site, 01:03
universal settings, theme. So these two settings 01:06
or these three or however many you 01:10
make will apply to all pages on 01:13
your site. On the other hand you 01:16
can also go to site and then 01:19
multitrack settings, theme, and these settings will 01:22
now set the theme for every album or 01:26
every podcast or every multitrack entity which 01:29
means just any entity that has multiple 01:33
tracks on your site. Likewise you can 01:35
also say you want a specific theme 01:38
that applies to all track pages or 01:41
a theme for all artist pages and so on 01:43
and so forth. And of course as 01:46
previously you can also go to one 01:49
specific thing so for instance this album 01:51
and set the theme for this album 01:54
specifically. That's also your choice. Okay and 01:57
one more thing that is important asides 02:01
setting the settings here directly in the 02:04
editor 02:06
you can actually go to "Build" and 02:07
build and preview the site with the theming 02:09
widget enabled and when you do this 02:11
it opens it in the browser and now 02:14
you have this overlay above your page 02:15
where you can dynamically try out different settings 02:18
for your theme, until you find one 02:22
that you like. 02:24
And what is also important here is that 02:26
this is partially memorized so if I 02:28
now move around on the page 02:30
it actually keeps this theme for the time being. 02:33
The first time you rebuild 02:37
your site again it will be gone 02:38
so it's important that when you're happy 02:40
with the settings you can actually look 02:41
them up down here and what you 02:44
can do is either go back 02:45
to the editor and reconstruct these settings 02:48
or you can also copy these 02:51
and then go to the editor and 02:53
go to the manifest settings for something 02:55
and then just paste this here and 02:59
update this 03:01
This will also basically, if you go 03:03
to the multitrack settings, then be reflected in 03:04
the theme again so these are the changes 03:07
that we just made and now if 03:08
we build and preview the site and go 03:10
to the Alice album we can see 03:13
that the theme now applies specifically to 03:17
this page alone. 03:19
Again to recap: If you want to 03:22
set the theme for the whole site we go 03:24
to site, universal settings, theme then for 03:25
instance we can override the light color scheme 03:30
add some color, change to a different hue 03:33
Save this. Always save this. And then 03:38
build and preview the site and now you can 03:41
see that when we change into light 03:44
mode the site is actually colored but 03:45
at the same time when we go 03:49
to Alice's album and we are in 03:50
the dark mode, yeah, 03:54
then the site is in a different 03:57
setting because we overrode the setting specifically 04:00
for dark on this album. 04:02
Okay, so far so good, thank you for watching. 04:05
